About Dr. Janice Staab

I've been coaching since 2000; and I still find immense  joy and fulfillment in helping clients change their lives for the better!

All people have the power to create happier, more fulfilling lives from raw materials they have inside: their own experiences, values, proven strengths. But too many of us get bogged down in destructive and limiting habits of acting, thinking and feeling. I'll guide and support you as you identify and eradicate unproductive patterns and establish ways of living that work for you.

The themes that tie all my coaching together are transition and identity. I help clients to navigate the common, but often complicated, transitions of life, and to discover/uncover/create their truest identity...their best self... in the process.

I'm drawn to this kind of coaching mainly because I have been there and done that!

I've survived graduate school and job changes. After 15+ years as a university professor, helping women in academia is dear to my heart! But I also consciously chose to leave academia and pursue a career as a coach/entrepreneur. Thus, I have a soft spot for women who are fed up with their current jobs/careers (even if they've put 20+ years of education and effort into them like I had) and want to follow their dreams!

More recently, I have been the primary caregiver for my mother as she underwent 3+ years of cancer treatment. I know the struggles and joys Mom and I experienced on this path. This experience has given me a heart for coaching other women who are caregivers for loved ones...to help them honor their commitment to another while still honoring their own needs!

Regardless of what transitions you're facing, I'll help you to develop self-confidence, learn to prioritize, communicate honestly, honor your needs and balance the demands of home, self, work and family.
